Transportation

Getting to and from your special event can be done in style in one of the beautiful limousines available in town. For short trips around Sedona or when you need a designated driver, call one of the dependable taxi services. The Airport Shuttle van or one of the private car services can provide a comfortable trip to Phoenix Sky Harbor airport without the typical hassles of parking your own vehicle. I’ve used them all and found each one worth the ride.

PHOENIX AIRPORT GROUND TRANSPORTATION - Locate, Review & Rate Car Services

Transportation Reviews
www.transportationreviews.com

Transportation Reviews is a growing collection of reviews, customer ratings, and feedback for Arizona airport transportation service. If you have ever used a taxi, car service, limo, or van shuttle to get from Sedona to Sky Harbor in Phoenix, you know that there are great differences between the various services based in the Verde Valley.

One obvious difference is cost, however timeliness, direct travel without stops, and personalized service are important factors that count often more than how much you pay for the ride. The convenience of home pick-up is huge considering the time it takes in travel to and from the local pick-up location and the waiting involved for scheduled services like airport shuttles, yet van/shuttle services can't be beat for their reasonable price and schedule reliability.

Use this website to find customer feedback on companies that offer airport ground transportation service going to or from any Arizona airport, including any Phoenix-Tucson area. Read reviews and ratings generated from travelers like you on Phoenix Airport ground transportation companies including Airport Taxi, Airport Sedan, Airport Limo, and Airport Shuttle Vans. Transportation Reviews is relatively new so keep in touch and submit your own reviews for local Sedona airport transport. The feedback will help companies improve and offer Sedona locals a better feel for what each company listed below has to offer.

Taxi

Bob’s Taxi
928.282.1234

Originally founded by Bob Bradshaw, Jr., Bob’s Taxi provides a quick response to your call and knows Sedona like the back of their proverbial hand. I’ve counted on Bob’s reliable transport for New Year’s Eve dining and late night celebration because parking spaces at local restaurants and clubs are in short supply and it gets real old trying to find a parking space. Besides, when it’s partytime, a designated driver is safe and efficient, eh?

Gator’s Sedona/Village Shuttle
928.282.0510

Call for Gatorade! “Best in the West. Every ride an adventure!”. Gator Bertini owns and operates this taxi service specializing in local runs between Sedona proper and the Village of Oak Creek. Of course, just like the other taxi services, they’ll drive you anywhere for a price. As expensive as it may seem, I once took a taxi to the Phoenix airport because my car was kaput and I desperately needed to make my flight. It’s a comfort to know that with only a ten minute lead time you have that option with a car service or taxi.

Karen and Joe DeSalvo have had a successful antique business in Sedona for many years. In 2003 they purchased the historic Rainbows End restaurant at the far west end of town. One of their special antiques is a mint-condition, red and black 1949 Bentley. This is the way to travel if you are planning the Sedona wedding of your dreams. Stop by and take a peek at this gorgeous vehicle. It can definitely create a special aura for any occasion.

Sedona Trolley
110 Flaming Arrow Way, Sedona, AZ 86336

www.sedonatrolley.com

"The First Best Thing to do in Sedona". That's my friend Armor Todd's tagline for the Sedona Trolley company he owns and operates. In addition to its usual daily duties the trolley also serves the needs of weddings, group functions, parties, and any other event requiring transportation for large groups via one vehicle or multiple shuttles. A great way to move your party around town or through the Verde Valley.

White Tie Transportation

My friend Craig, former concierge at the prestigious L’Auberge de Sedona resort, owns this high-quality car service. Yes, they can show up in a white tie if your event requires it. Trips to the Phoenix airport in their comfortable Lincoln Town car or fully-equipped Yukon Denali sure beat being crammed into a shuttle van that has to make several stops along the way. They also offer a 14 passenger Starquest van for larger occasions.

Airport Shuttle Service

Sedona Phoenix Airport Shuttle
928.282.2066 – 800.448.7988
www.sedona-phoenix-shuttle.com

The Airport Shuttle operates on a stable daily schedule starting at 5:40 am in the Village of Oak Creek (La Quinta Inn), picking up in West Sedona at 6 am (Super 8 Motel – 928.282.1533), and continuing on to the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport after a short stop in Cottonwood and Camp Verde. The last returning shuttle to Sedona leaves the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport at 8 pm. There are eight shuttles daily with West Sedona departures at 6 am, 7 am, 8 am, 9 am, 10 am, 12 noon, 2 pm, and 4 pm. The ride, from West Sedona to the Airport, takes approximately 3 hours including the subsequent stops. I’ve taken the shuttle at least a dozen times over the years and believe it really beats the cost of Airport parking and dealing with traffic. It’s also not unusual to arrive at the airport during holidays or certain busy weekends and discover that all the short-term parking lots are full and the only quick alternative is to pay full price in the main garage, a hefty full price.
