Maps

Print a map of Sedona and driving directions to your lodging destination and bring it with you. It's an easy way to make your driving experience smooth with no surprises. And if you arrive at night, remember, “Sedona Has No Streetlights”…..

Viewing Maps - Online

Topozone
www.topozone.com

Topozone offers the ability to view online just about any U.S.G.S. topographical map. You can print these in page-sized sections and take them wherever you're headed. This works especially well if there are no local maps for the area you intend to explore. I prefer full-size Topos, however printing smaller sections from Topozone makes for easier handling when you’re on an exposed ridge and the wind picks up. They’re cheap to replace if they get rained on, too.

View the Sedona region’s primary Topo Quads on Topozone.com:
For best viewing, choose the “Large” Map Size option and then click “Update Map”.
The default “View Scale” option is 1:50,000.
To zoom out and see a larger view of the area, choose 1:100,000 and click “Update Map”.

Wide variety of maps with an inexpensive Topo option that allows viewing and printing topo maps for any of the Continental 48 states. If you want to purchase the best home map software for your own use get De Lorme's Topo USA 5.0. It has a wild 3D Shaded Relief option for topo maps that makes typical maps look shallow. It really helps you visualize your journey and assess vertical challenges on trails. De Lorme says that they update their topos far more frequently than the USGS. Not surprising since the USGS does it about every 20 years! Still, De Lorme's maps are excellent and this site offers them at some of the lowest prices I've seen.
