By reservation only. “Dress Your World”. There’s wallpaper, there’s paint and texture, and there’s faux. Now add a dynamic interior design innovation from Europe recently available in the US to the top of the list. Martine Pigeon and her partner Steve have created a magnificent design showroom in the old Sedona Public Library building on Jordan Road that will blow your mind. The gallery and showroom are open primarily by appointment only. You might get lucky, though, just stopping by like I did and get the grand tour of their product in action - huge fabric panels printed with Giclee- quality photographs that are stretched across walls, billowed across ceilings, and bent into tight geometric angles in room corners.

Most panels are lit from the front with recessed rheostatic lighting that enables the photo to be highlighted in ways that allow sunrise to sunset intensity. The ceiling mounted panels I found the most spectacular were astronomical photographs of stars and galaxies that had colored LED lighting from behind the fabric. The subtle LED lighting created an indoor mirror of the night sky with added colors similar to what is seen in Hubble telescope photos.

It became obvious to me that this technology has many applications. No matter where these waterproof and UV-resistant panels are installed, the result is always the same - an instant and economical way to change the entire ambiance of a room, hallway, outdoor patio, or even a large commercial building space interior.

If you are in the interior design, building design, or architectural trade you must experience this powerful innovation firsthand to appreciate its elegance and utility. And if you plan to design or build your own custom home, it would be smart to see this technology before you finish your designs.
