This one of my top five favorite galleries anywhere and in Sedona it’s my favorite overall. Andrea Smith has created a stunning gallery with a broad mix of mediums, each one represented by artists that excel in their field. Her religious iconography and sculptures gathered from around the world are unmatched in Arizona. The jewelry she offers is sublime and uniquely different from most you’ll see in other local galleries. What more can I say except that her son Matthew’s paintings are groundbreaking. His use of gold leaf on hand-made paper results in a dynamic layered effect which allows his intricate paintings to display a totally uncommon and remarkable depth. He’s my new favorite artist. Look for this crème de la crème gallery just inside the promenade at Tlaquepaque’s west entrance, a stone’s throw from the Secret Garden Café. Oh, to win the Powerball...

Bob Bradshaw is a true Sedona and northern Arizona legend: father, cowboy, stuntman, actor, writer, businessman, and photographer extraordinaire. Bob owned and operated Sedona's first photo developing and film shop back in the 1950's. This modern gallery features his photographs from the 40's and 50's, old movie images, and plenty of modern shots, too. Nicholas Kirsten-Honshin and his wife Krystal Hansen-Kirsten moved to Sedona in 2007 opening the Golden Lotus Gallery at Sacajawea Plaza in uptown. Bringing to Sedona (35) years of gallery experience. The Golden Lotus Gallery features art reflecting the beauty of nature in a fusion of Western and Eastern perennial spiritual traditions. Artists represented by the gallery: Nicholas Kirsten-Honshin whose mixed media acrylic paintings are done on handmade Japanese washi paper from the island of Shodo Shima, Japan. The paper is mounted on hardwood paneling. He also creates original jewelry from precious colored stones as well as high-fired ceramic meditational images; Sharon Agusta Mitchell, an internationally known printmaker, creates mezzotints , aquatints, mixed media originals as well as museum quality digital prints; Kevin Lane Smith, a Lapidary Journal Hall of Fame recipient and an award winning jeweler and lapidarist; Callahan McVay, a glassblower of the Pilchuck tradition; Ron Wesley, a Taos jeweler of renown works in the traditional Turquoise and Silver Genre.

A gallery you must visit at Tlaquepaque. This gallery was one of Tlaquepaque’s original tenants and still among the finest in Sedona. Glass art in every form including jewelry, furniture, objects d’ art, mirrors, decorations, hand-blown vases, and light sculptures by co-owner Deanne Sabeck. You might want to leave the kids outside when you visit because it’s glass at every turn, the proverbial china closet. I move slowly here simply because the glass art is so bright, transparent, and delicate that it tends to be more mesmerizing than traditional sculpture or paintings. The Kuivato staff are masters at packing and shipping, too, so you can rest-assured that your choices will reach home safely.

Lou de Serio is one of the most gifted and artistic photographers in the southwest, and even perhaps in the United States, depending on who you talk to. It's no coincidence that Ansel Adams wrote the foreward for Lou's 1979 self-published book, A Last Look and highly praised the young photographer's black and white works. Lou was awarded a grant in 1978 to study with Ansel and was indelibly influenced by the master's teachings. Since then he has made his mark in the world of photography and created a life of colorful magic in Sedona. Did you know that he's a musical genius and concert pianist as well?

One distinctive feature of Lou's work is the rich and vibrant colors he obtains from the use of the long-lasting IlfoChrome material. He is one of few photographers in the world who has mastered this difficult and demanding color process. One look at his magnificent Arizona photographs and you'll realize that though many photographers take photos of the same subject, Lou is one of the very few that captures the essence of his subject, not merely the surface. It takes years and years, lots of dedication, and plenty of skill. Lou's got them all in masterful portions...
